Georges Pacouil (1903-1997)

PACOUIL Georges (1903-1997) was born in Paris to parents Catalans.
 Student at Ecole Bernard Palissy and especially student Pointillist Hippolyte Petitjean, his life was marked by medals and awards of honor.
 Neo-realist painter, he seeks to shape, structure of nature.
 His art is similar to that of a Segonzac or Lapatellière.
 His career:
 - Stage designer (1920-1934), artist and teacher since 1934 (he had a pupil Michèle Morgan in 1966) he exhibited in many exhibitions.
 - Associate of the Salon d'Automne in 1934
 - Associate of the great Parisian salons and national.
 - Participation in major exhibitions abroad: the Balkans, San Francisco, Tunisia, Carnegie Institution of Pittsburgh.
 - Former member of the Committee on professional artists and the Committee of the Society of Independent Artists.
 Honors:
 Price Bernheim, Blumental Prize, First Prize Watercolor Contest in the city of Paris (1950), Louis Price Willaume, Silver Medal of the French League of Education (1954), Vermeil Medal of Arts-Sciences-Lettres (1968), Gold Medal of Youth and Sport (1969), Gold Medal of the general council of Hauts de Seine (1984).
 The Museum of Modern Art in the city of Paris remains a work of Georges Pacouil (Paysage du Jura).
