Bertrand Py (1895-1973)

PY Bertrand was born in 1895 in Belfort.
 Very young, he expressed serious for drawing and painting. Set in Paris, he pursued a good education standard it adopts net to devote exclusively to painting.
 Entered the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts in lying about his age.
 Frequents the galleries, the Louvre and copy the works of Rembrandt, Vermeer, Velasquez, Chardin, Delacroix.Sa Career: 1920: Salon des Artistes French.
 1922: Salon d'Automne.
 1927: Salon des Independants.
 1929: Associate of the Salon d'Automne. Exhibition at Galerie Drouant Armant. 1932: Exhibition at Galerie Simonson.
 1933: Exhibition at Galerie Bernhiem.
 1935: Petit Palais: 7 ° group of artists of that time.
 1944: Exhibition Gallery Guénégaud.
 1947: Exhibition at the Galerie de la Cité. Participation in the Salon d'Automne and the Salon des Independants.
 1963: Exhibition Gallery Boissiere.
 1964: Exhibition at the Durand-Ruel.
 1965: Personal exhibition at the Maison des Artistes.
 1968: Second exhibition at the Maison des Artistes.
 1970: Personal exhibition at Gallery Bassano.
 1971: Second exhibition at Gallery Bassano.
