Mathurin Janssaud (1857-1940)

Mathurin Janssaud

French artist born in 1857 in Manosque (Alpes de Haute Provence), died in 1940.
Typical scene painter, landscape, seascape, interiors, landscapes animated.  It does not seem to have participated in the annual Paris Salons.  Rarely pastel watercolorist, his technical effects gained some fame from the folklore theme very typical of life in the Breton port of time fishing and sailing in peasant dresses with lots of variations on the theme of waiting dockside Breton the return of fishermen.
