La Galerie de Crécy

  Située à 40 km à l’Est de Paris, au cœur de la Brie dans un écrin de verdure bordé par le Grand Morin, Crécy la Chapelle, surnommée la Venise Briade pour la beauté des canaux qui la parcoure, a su préserver son charme et son authenticité d’autrefois.

       Traditionnellement fréquentée par de nombreux peintres depuis le XVIIIème siècle, immortalisée par Camille Corot, Paul Désiré Trouillebert, Paul Huet, Alexandre Véron, ou encore Georges Pacouil et André Dunoyer de Segonzac... Crécy-la-Chapelle inspire toujours un grand nombre d’artistes.
      C’est dans cet environnement privilégié que la GALERIE DE CRÉCY est née en 1969 de la passion commune pour les antiquités de Martine et Daniel Mazet.
      Dès les premières années, la Galerie de Crécy présente dans un même ensemble, mobiliers anciens, objets d’arts et peintures du XVIIIème, XIXème et XXème siècle.
       En 1972, dans un souci de qualité et de service la Galerie se dote de son propre atelier de restauration de meubles anciens.
       A partir de 1982, le premier étage est consacré aux expositions de groupes ou personnelles, d’artistes figuratifs contemporains.
       Au rythme de six à sept expositions par an, et une grande exposition de fin d’année réunissant tous les peintres, la Galerie assure ainsi à ses artistes un suivi et une promotion régulière.
        Depuis près de vingt ans et sans jamais oublier sa vocation d’antiquaire la Galerie de Crécy n’a cessé d’organiser, autour de grands maîtres (André Dunoyer de Segonzac, Camille Claudel, Auguste Rodin, Jean Commère, Paul Huet, Yves Brayer, Lucien Fontanarosa...) ou de thème (Venise, Paris, La vallée du Grand Morin...), des expositions dans la volonté de se renouveler et de créer l’événement.

  Situated at 40 km east of Paris, in the heart of Brie in a case of greenery lined by Grand Morin, Crécy la Chapelle, nicknamed Venice Briade for the beauty of the canals which crosses her, knew how to protect her charm and her authenticity of formerly.Traditionally being frequented by numerous painters for the XVIII-th century, being immortalized by Camille Corot, Paul Désiré Trouillebert, Paul Huet, Alexandre Véron, or still Georges Pacouil or André Dunoyer de Segonzac... Crécy-la-Chapelle always inspires a big number of artists.It is in this privileged environment that CRECY'S GALLERY arose in 1969 from the common passion for the antiques of Martine and Daniel Mazet.From the first years, Crécy's gallery presents in the same set, the ancient furnitures, the objects of art and paintings of the XVIIIÈmeXIXÈme And XXÈme Century.
In 1972, in a concern of quality and service the Gallery endows of its own workshop of restoration of ancient furniture.From 1982, the first floor is dedicated to the exhibitions of groups or personal, contemporary representational artists.
At the rate of six in seven exhibitions a year, and a big exhibition of the end of year reuniting all the painters, the Gallery assures so to its artists a follow-up and a regular promotion.
Since about twenty years and without ever forgetting its antique dealer's vocation Crécy's gallery did not stop organizing, around great masters (André Dunoyer de Segonzac, Camille Claudel, Auguste Rodin, Jean Commère, Paul Huet, Yves Brayer, Lucien Fontanarosa...) or of subject (Venice, Paris, The valley of Grand Morin...) exhibitions in the will to be renewed and to create the event.
